Letters by Pat Brosseau

The Rundown: Samhain teams up with the sister of the park’s latest victim and more of the park’s history is revealed.

The story begins in the 80’s after the park is up and running and Arthur Dante finds a young lady working for him that he wants to get to know better. He begins to show his true self when she struggles to give birth to the twins and their arrival brings more darkness.

Back in the present, Sam decides to get answers by teaming up with the young woman whose brother died in the park. While Halloween makes plans to stop her brother while dealing with her own dark issues, Sam finds himself in a area of the park he didn’t know existed and not alone.

The Story: Williamson crafts a dark and engaging mystery in this issue. I loved the backstory and what it means for the twins. I really enjoyed the twists the story is taking and how events are connecting back to each other. The story does a great job of showcasing the darkness within Arthur Dante as well as the differences in the twins. There is a great cliffhanger ending as well and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Bressan delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals are stunning and filled with great horror. I love the style and the emotions is evokes in the reader.
