The Rundown: Someone infiltrates the park looking for answers and the Dante siblings look for inspiration.
Sam Dante is taking a meeting to find a new way to move his father’s empire forward into the future. Unfortunately, the people he’s meeting with are more interested in not only his sister, but his father. At the same time, Halloween has an intense dream that gives her an interesting idea for the park. Back at the park, a new girl named Summer has started working and shows that she has an edge to her.
Sam returns to the park just in time to get a surprise visit from not only his daughter, but his sister who wants to tell him her ideas for the park. That night, Sam’s daughter has a disturbing interaction that will terrify her father while Summer reveals that she has her own motives for working at the park.
The Story: Entertaining, dark and engaging, Williamson continues to craft an interesting world with characters that I want to know more about. The mystery within the story is intriguing and is one of the reasons I came back to read this issue. The world of this story continues to be interesting and I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.
The Art: Bressan delivers some beautifully dark and disturbing imagery throughout the issue and I love the visual aesthetic of this series.
