The Rundown: Joy and Art find themselves getting closer to the event and she must make a dangerous decision.

Joy and Art are alone as the event continues to get bigger and Joy believes there might be a way to stop everything until Art saves her from being pulled in and the two discover that Adube is alive. When Adube attacks Art as a means of attracting the phantom creatures, he tells Joy that they need to destroy them in order to escape.

When his plan fails, an unexpected event causes him to be killed and Joy gets blasted towards the black hole. As she resigns herself to her fate, she is rescued by her husband and the two discover that Art is alive and might be the key to stopping the black hole once and for all.

The Story: Kaplan ramps up the thrills and suspense throughout this issue. There are so many great twists and turns throughout the plot, but the emotional story continues to keep my attention as a reader. I like the revelations that continue to unfold for Joy in the story and there is a great moment between her and Colson that I really enjoyed. I cannot wait to see what happens in the upcoming finale.

The Art: Shehan delivers on the emotion and suspense with stunning art that is beautifully detailed throughout the issue.
