The Rundown: The expedition finds something strange on the edge of the black hole.

Art, Joy and the rest of the expedition find themselves on the brink of the black hole, but more danger awaits as the creatures that attacked their group have disappeared, but could return at any time. At the same time, something is happening to Art that is connected to the black hole and their proximity to it.

Colson learns more about the creature as they discover that there is a reason they cannot close the black hole on their end. As the creatures attack again, Colson finds himself drifting towards the black hole itself as he and his soon to be ex-wife deal with their interpersonal conflict in case they are lost.

The Story: Zaplan continues to craft an engaging story in this issue. The story is dense and beautifully layered with compelling characters and an interesting plot. I continue to enjoy the progression of the story and how complicated all of the interpersonal relationships are in relation to the bigger complication of the mission they are on. I am invested in this story and these characters and want to see what happens next in this story.

The Art: Chris Shehan delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The characters look great and the environment is visually stunning.
