The Rundown: Matt begins his mission to save the world and starts with some truly dark individuals.
In the wake of their wedding ceremony, Matt and Elektra have unlocked new powers for themselves and the members of the Fist. Something both Cole and Foggy begin to realize quickly. At the same time, Matt continues to have doubts and questions, but he is determined to complete his mission. A mission that will begin with a prison break.
Daredevil, Elektra and their forces infiltrate a high security prison in the middle of the ocean in order to give some of its inmates a second chance and a new purpose. As Matt confronts John Walker with his new powers, the mission gets off to a rocky start. A start that will get the attention of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
The Story: Zdarsky crafts a thrilling and intriguing story in this issue. The evolution of Matt as a character is fantastic and I love that he threads a psychological needle between being confident in his mission and doubting himself. There is a some great action throughout the issue and the story builds to a great cliffhanger that makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Checchetto delivers some fantastic visuals throughout the issue with exciting action and characters. I love the fight between Matt and John Walker and how visually thrilling it was.
