The Rundown: As Daredevil’s other life falls apart, an enemy from his old one seeks something from him.
In the wake of his fight with Kingpin, the demonic entity that was possessing Matt’s old enemy has been exorcised. Unfortunately, it has left something in its wake within Fisk. Something that will challenge Matt’s new life and his commitment to his mission.
At the same time, the orphanage is attacked and Matt arrives just in time to witness the dark aftermath of the encounter and the fall of a friend. A fall that will send Daredevil down a dark and ominous path.
The Story: Ahmed creates an engaging story that I was waiting to see. As entertaining as it is, it feels too short. I think the story spent more time with Kingpin than it should have and that was probably the point. I still enjoyed the story a lot and seeing how it creates a situation where Daredevil is poised to take a dark turn adds to the drama of the series.
The Art: Campana delivers some impressive and visually interesting art throughout the issue. The visuals are beautifully detailed and capture the dark moments brilliantly.
