The long gestating 25th James Bond film finally has a writer and director.
Daniel Craig has confirmed that he will coming back to the role of James Bond for the fifth time after a very public announcement that he was done with the role of the super spy.
Danny Boyle is known for writing and directing films like Trainspotting, 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire. He confirmed his work on the Bond film during an interview with Metro US.
“I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in six or seven weeks. Then ‘Bond’ would be right at the end of the year. But we are working on them both right now.”
Boyle is working on the script with his Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge on the Bond script.
No word yet on release date or additional casting, but those things should happen soon if the script is completed and pre-production begins.
