Deron GenerallyBeauty and the Beast and Legion star Dan Stevens plays former NASA pilot and physicist Will Porter in the futuristic thriller Kill Switch.
When the energy company Alterplex builds a massive tower designed to provide unlimited energy to the entire planet, no one suspected it would go catastrophically wrong. After turning on the tower, a series of anomalies begin to occur around the world. It’s later determined that the tower itself, which uses quantum energy is siphoning that energy from an alternate Earth, which also has a tower, destroying it in the process.
Porter is brought in to travel to the parallel Earth with a device designed to balance the energy on both sides. When he arrives, he finds out that the device is a kill switch designed to destroy the parallel Earth, forcing Will to decide which universe to sacrifice in order to save the other.
There are definite video game elements to the trailer itself. There seem to be a lot of first-person shots that are reminiscent of 2015’s Hardcore Henry. The film does have an interesting premise and there is no denying that Stevens does have a draw. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.
