The Rundown: Charlie and Vita’s adventures in Vegas open them up to new threats and more revelations about Vita’s past.
Charlie’s contact in Vegas might have the answers they need to find out who is behind the contract on her life. Unfortunately, the tech bro is not interested in visitors and the pair need to find another way to get into his building. One that will require Vita to look up an old friend from her previous life who can hook her up with the equipment she needs.
As Charlie continues to make moving under the radar more difficult, Vita finally begins to open up to her about her past. Specifically, her previous career in the Secret Service. Those skills she developed are going to be needed when a lethal protector decides to keep a close eye on the pair and prevent everyone from getting to Charlie first.
The Story: Christopher Sebela takes the time in this issue to give the reader more insight into Vita and her past. The pace is fantastic and the dialogue is amazing. I continue to love the dynamic between these two characters and their relationship evolution keeps me coming back each issue. I love how the story is evolving as well with bigger, more interesting things coming on the horizon.
The Art: Both Ro Stein and Ted Brandt deliver some exceptional art in this issue. All of the visuals complement the pace of the story and are filled with brilliant detail.
