The Rundown: Charlie and Vita’s tense relationship takes a dramatic turn as the list of people they can trust continues to get shorter.
With the clock ticking down to the end of the Reapr campaign, Charlie and Vita find themselves trapped in a converted missile silo because Vita decided to trust the wrong person. After discovering the real reason they’ve been allowed to stay, Vita decides to come up with a plan of escape. One that will give them the time they need to finally come clean with each other, especially Charlie.
After a dramatic escape, Vita will learn the harsh truth about the Reapr campaign against Charlie. While she goes back to rescue someone they left behind, Charlie will continue her long tradition of making bad decisions.
The Story: Fun, funny and revelatory, this issue of Crowded takes the story in some interesting and exciting directions. Sebela revels in complicating the lives of these characters and that adds to the drama. Their interpersonal conflicts and fights make this series so interesting and engaging to read. This issue is an enjoyable read that makes me anxious to see what happens next.
The Art: Stein and Brandt deliver some great art in this issue. Having the beginning of the issue told from Dog’s point of view was both clever and entertaining. A fun looking issue with great moments for each character.
