The Rundown: Vox Machina finds themselves under the city as the rest of the team fights to escape.
Pike and Vax find themselves being taken by the Clasp to an underground pit where they will face off against a terrifying creature for the delight of those gathered. Without their weapons, the pair will have to rely on their cunning and Pike’s skills to create an opportunity to create some chaos to allow them to escape.
The rest of the team find themselves in an underground chamber that seems to be a lake beneath the city. A lake that holds a monster hunting the group. As they make their way deeper under the city, the team finds themselves in the presence of a strange woman who wants a favor from them in exchange for a way out.
The Story: Houser and Mercer craft a fun and entertaining adventure in this issue. Not only is there great action throughout the story, but also intense adventure and thrills. The dialogue is fun and the story beautifully immerses the reader into this world and with these characters. The story is filled with fun moments and drew me in to the adventures of Vox Machina and their wild and entertaining world. I look forward to the next adventure.
The Art: Hayes delivers some beautifully detailed and visually immersive art throughout the issue. The imagery is amazing and creates some beautiful backgrounds and environments.
