The Rundown: While a small band of magic users keeps the infection from spreading, Danny and the rest of the remaining heroes will find that their current approach to the contagion is not working.
The barrier is holding, but just barely. With Danny protecting the magic users, Jessica leads a group of heroes to take down the Urchin as it infects the Wrecking Crew. Unable to stop it, more heroes get taken and whoever remains meets back at Luke and Jessica’s place.
With their options dwindling and the news that the Avengers have been infected as well, no one has a clue of what to do next and it doesn’t help that the voices of their friends keep coming from the creature. Moon Knight believes that there might be a way to help them, but it will involve him doing something foolish. When the barrier falls, the remaining heroes find that they are running out of time and the Urchin has found a new way to fight back.
The Story: Ed Brisson has cleverly paced this issue and this series. There are great character moments throughout. I love seeing Jessica Jones take charge. The uncertainty and unpredictability of the plot continues to impress me and I enjoy how this story is unfolding.
The Art: Damian Couciero has some good art in this issue. There are some breakout visual moments, but the art feels subdued in relation to the stakes of the story.
