The Rundown: Conan and Brissa follow the undead army through the perils of Cimmeria.
The undead army continues its march to the borders of Cimmeria and Conan and Brissa follow them to see who is behind their actions. An act that will lead to both conflict and closeness for the new traveling companions.
As they witness the destruction the raiding party leaves behind, their stealth mission ends when the bodies of Conan’s countrymen rise from the dead and attack. An attack created from a powerful light that Conan is determined to find the source of.
The Story: Zub crafts a brilliantly bloody and engaging adventure in this issue. The story is filled with suspense, thrills and world building that makes the plight of the characters more compelling. Zub does an excellent job of raising the tension throughout the story and giving Conan and Brissa time to get to know each other and learn from each other. I love the mystery within the series as well and cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: De La Torre offers some breathtaking and stunning art throughout the issue. The visuals are perfect for this character and deliver you into his world with style.
