The Rundown: With everything getting worse all over the world, the Crisis Command finds themselves facing the greatest challenge yet.
Even after telling the world the truth about the threat it faces, an Earth geared towards evil continues on its path. A path that Executrix is prepared to send it down one way or another. After gathering her army of clones, she sends them on their mission to take down the Crisis Command. At the same time, she has placed operatives around the world to sew seeds of chaos among the population to hasten its end.
At the same time, Frontier has returned and has a plan to save the world. A plan that will require them to do something radically different. Not everyone on the team is on board, but they are willing to try anything. Unfortunately, the appearance of Executrix forces make that more difficult as they are designed to nullify and take out the Crisis Command one at a time.
The Story: Orlando ups the stakes for the team and the world in this issue. The action is great and the dialogue is engaging. There is a real seriousness to the events of the issue and the stakes are palpable as the plot moves along. I continue to be impressed with this series and these characters. There are so many interesting elements at play that connect with the reader. I’m excited to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Tinto pulls out the stops with the visuals in this issue. There is exciting action throughout and the final few pages are filled with impressive imagery.
