The Rundown: With the truth finally revealed, the last Earth begins to socially unravel.
Unrest is spreading across the globe and the revelations of the Crisis Command could be what’s fueling it. As the countries of the world contemplate their own versions of the legislation the US could adopt, Executrix prepares for the next part of her plan to move the world towards the cosmic sepsis.
At the same time, Prizefighter is confronted by American Dreamer after revealing to the world that he comes from another Earth. The two are then taken to another place where they face an evil that has a connection to the bigger threat they are facing. Frontier makes a discovery in the past that could have huge repercussions on both their fight and the fate of the world.
The Story: Orlando explores a lot of big ideas in this issue and the story becomes more interesting for it. The stakes are higher and Orlando does a great job of interweaving big concepts among the action and adventure. The plot is great and there are great moments for the team throughout. I am engaged with everything about the world Orlando has built with this series and the cliffhanger ending makes me excited for the next part of the story.
The Art: Tinto delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. There are great character moments and the details throughout the issue are stunning.
