The Rundown: A team of heroes with a shared secret defend the world against every impending crisis.
A murder in Philadelphia holds some unknown secrets as the Crisis Command team goes after a group of villains bent on stealing hope. At the same time, a movement in the government threatens the very unity of the country.
Frontier finds herself investigating the events happening to the world and her team as they deal with the threat head on. In the aftermath, she discovers an energy signature that will lead her to the murder victim and when she discovers him, she calls the team back in. When she reveals what happened to him, she tells that something more than his body was killed. Something much deeper was taken as well and they need to find who did it.
The Story: There is a lot going on in this first issue. Steve Orlando lays out the stakes, reveals the biggest secrets about the characters and introduces to them all. The reveals and the exposition can be a little daunting at times, but the concept is big, bold and interesting. I’m interested in seeing how this story progresses and just how big it can get.
The Art: Davide Tinto has some amazing art in this issue. From the characters to the action, everything is bright, vibrant and full of detail.
