CBS All-Access is gearing up to expand their selection of scripted series and one of the most anticipated ones is a return to the dimension of the mind created by the late Rod Serling; The Twilight Zone.
After the CBS All Access’ Television Critics Association presentation, executive vice president of original content Julie McNamara spoke with Deadline about the show and when it will start production.
“We have a [writer’s] room, we have a first season of concepts, outlines, scripts — various stages of all of these things — of that 10 eps a season,” McNamara said. “We are well on our way, and we are going to start production in the next couple of months.”
The Twilight Zone will be produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Get Out director Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, as well as X-Men movie director Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films.
Although both Peele and Kinberg are attached to the series, Greg Yaitanes is overseeing the production, but he is not the showrunner.
More details to come.
