The Rundown: Catwoman’s rescue attempt is interrupted by Mr. Roy and a new enemy makes plans for Gotham City.
During a confrontation with Mr. Roy, Catwoman reveals several trade secrets. Afterwards, a tragedy occurs. Later, Catwoman returns to Alleytown, checks on an old friend, and receives advice from a new ally.
Meanwhile, an old foe targets Catwoman. It is also revealed that Gotham City faces a dangerous new threat.
The Story: The stakes are high in this thrilling episode. Catwoman is one of my favorite characters. And I love it when she is shown using her skill and cunning to make power plays. Now that she is a target of multiple enemies, I can’t wait to see how she will use her experience and prowess to maintain her advantage.
The Art: Blanco uses a traditional style that is filled with detail. This is complimented by a color palate that changes with the scenes and mood shifts of the story. Bellaire’s employment of red and green tones for certain scenes is eye-catching. The artwork in this issue is very transportive.
