The Rundown: Catwoman searches for an old friend while being hunted by a dangerous foe.
Catwoman visits The Riddler. After she learns of his recent discovery, she must decide what to do with the information. Later, Catwoman goes out in search of an old friend. When she runs into a dead end, a stranger gives her some crucial information. Meanwhile, Father Valley confronts Penguin. During the heated exchange, Father Valley reveals his plans for Catwoman.
The Story: Ram V has created an entertaining and compelling storyline. It is interesting to see the various demons that many of Catwoman’s associate face, and how that affects her relationships with them. I also like how this issue hows her conflict with wanting to help her friend and community, and her desire to keep her autonomy. I’m looking forward to seeing how this plot line develops
The Art: Blanco’s retro drawing style is complimented by the color work of Jordie Ballaire. The blue toned panels beautifully portray nighttime in Gotham City. It also makes it especially powerful when bold green is used to highlight scenes indicating a certain someone. The artwork in this issue is both lovely and transportive.
