Tim Burton’s Addams Family series ‘Wednesday’ has found a new member of its cast.
After announcing Jenna Ortega in the lead role of the upcoming series and Luis Guzman as family patriarch Gomez, The Hollywood Reporter broke the story that Zeta-Jones is set to guest star as family matriarch Morticia Addams in the eight episode limited series.
Tim Burton will direct and executive produce the series with Al Gough and Miles Millar. ‘Wednesday’ will find the Addams Family eldest daughter adjusting to her new life at Nevermore Academy. As she deals with her emerging psychic powers and interpersonal relationships, she finds herself thrust into a mystery involving her parents and a monstrous killing spree terrorizing a small town.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is known for her roles in films like Traffic, The Mask of Zorro, Entrapment and Chicago. She can currently be seen as Dr. Vivian Capshaw in the Fox series Prodigal Son.
