The Rundown: As the world descends into chaos, the heroes make their final stand against Khrelan’s forces.
With Foresight Headquarters surrounded, Lorena calls for the heroes to gather to make a final stand. Noble gathers them all and rallies them with a speech that will motivate them to fight for humanity as Lorena plans for the worst. When Khrelan contacts her with a demand for them to stand down, Lorena and the heroes are defiant as the battle begins.
While the heroes fight for the future of the planet, a smaller band makes their way to Khrelan’s hidden base. After dealing with a possible betrayal, the young heroes infiltrate the base and take the battle to Khrelan. It will take an unexpected act of defiance and a sacrifice no one predicted if there is any chance of survival for planet Earth.
The Story: Gail Simone brings this story to a satisfying and exciting conclusion. There are great character moments throughout and the dialogue is great. Simone does a great job of showcasing the best and worst of humanity as the story evolves page after page. This was a great issue that opens the door for some interesting and compelling stories to come.
The Art: Jose Luis delivers some awesome art in this issue. The action is amazing and the panels are filled with beautiful detail.
