Marvel Studios is bringing in a new writer to take on their next huge property.
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are on board to direct the Captain Marvel film produced by Kevin Feige. The original screenplay was written by Inside Out scribe Meg LeFauve and Guardians of the Galaxy screenwriter Nicole Perlman. It was announced today in Variety that Marvel is bringing in Geneva Robertson-Dworet to pen the latest draft of the screenplay which will star Brie Larson as the title character with Samuel L. Jackson in talks to reprise his role as Nick Fury.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet is the writer of the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot starring Alicia Vikander. She is also currently attached to write a big screen version of Dungeons and Dragons as well as the highly anticipated Gotham City Sirens.
Feige told the crowd at SDCC details about the film including the fact that it is set in the 90’s and will feature the alien Skrulls as the main villains.
