The Rundown: Carol and Kamala fight more Dark Suit Marvels and Carol learns who is sending them.
After the Dark Suits discover Kamala’s identity and attack her, Carol rescues her and races off to find a safe place for her with four of them on her tail. After being shot down, Carol and Kamala are forced to make a stand. As the two fight, Kamala notices the Dark Suit connected to her but neither hero has the time to discuss it as they keep being attacked from all sides. Both heroes continue to fight, but Carol knows that there might be people she knows trapped in the suits trying to hurt them.
When one of those heroes reaches out, Carol gets a message that might help them find out who is doing this to her fellow Marvels. As the other suits go after Kamala again, Carol’s reinforcements arrive to help out. Things get more serious when the suits go after Rhodey and the others and Carol calls in a favor to get Kamala safely off the battlefield. After finding her way to where Vox Supreme is hiding, she discovers the scope of its plan before finding herself in a trap she might not escape.
The Story: Thompson brings thrilling action and adventure to this issue. The pace is fast and filled with energy and tension. The dialogue is fantastic and I always love seeing Carol and Kamala interact. I love all the surprises within the story and how exciting the execution of it is.
The Art: Davila delivers the action and adventure with visual style and flair. There is great action throughout and a fun, brilliantly detailed style.
