The Rundown: Carol Danvers will discover that someone is targeting her and anyone else who is a Marvel.
Carol finds a moment of peace that is quickly ripped away by someone wearing the suit designed for her by Vox Supreme. In order to stop the fight quickly, Carol goes on the attack. In the midst of the attack, Carol tries to determine who is in the suit, but her attacker isn’t talking. After taking a break from the fight, Carol discovers that something is deeply wrong after her fight with Vox Supreme.
After taking down the assailant, Carol is unable to remove her from the suit and her vitals force her to go to Tony Stark for help. Tony and Carol find a frequency to unlock the suit and they discover that the person inside it has a connection to Carol. When that person begs for help, the heroes discover that Carol is not the only target. Racing to find Ms. Marvel, Carol begins calling other Marvels including Monica. When she finds Kamala, she will discover she has a bigger threat on her hands.
The Story: Thompson puts Carol through her paces in this issue and that leads to some great action and tension throughout. Having Carol face a silent opponent with her power set is awesome and the reveal of who is in the suit is even better. Everything about the mystery in this issue works and creates a great plot that kept me engaged and entertained. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next and the cliffhanger ending promises some interesting things to come.
The Art: Davila delivers some impressive action and tension in the visuals. The characters look awesome and the action hits on all levels.
