The Rundown: Cap and Tony discover their current fight has some unusual origins.
Cap and Iron Man try to protect Fifty-One from a small army of killer robots as they look for a way to escape a rogue helicarrier. The only way to buy them some time is for Steve to don the armor his dark double used to enslave the planet. At the same time, Veronica has a heart to heart with her recent ex as Tony brings Fifty-One back to his friends for the help that he needs.
After the pair are separated during the fight, Tony takes on a pair of robots over the city while Steve sneaks through the helicarrier looking for a way to stop the Overseer. While Steve looks for a way to stop the rogue AI, Tony has a meeting with the man in power who helped get Veronica’s plan off the ground. After Steve frees Veronica in order to get her help, both Captain America and Iron Man learn the extent of the plan and the surprising faces that are a part of it.
The Story: Landy crafts a story with great dialogue, humor and an effective mystery. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded and the twists that it took. The reveals were really well done and the action was great as well. I like seeing these characters interact with each other and having Cap face the darkness he tried to overcome is a great moment.
The Art: Unzueta crafts some awesome art in this issue. There are some great action moments intercut with awesome character designs.
