The Rundown: Cap and Tony face their past mistakes as they hunt for Veronica.
A rogue superhero brings his former team into conflict with Cap and Tony as they hunt for Veronica Eden. Iron Man wants to know why one of them would be helping Eden and he discovers that is has something to do with a villain he recently faced. At the same time, Veronica prepares for the next part of her plan as she and her team take on a former SHIELD facility. A facility that is holding the object the rogue Fifty-One has been looking for.
After Tony and Steve have a talk about Tony’s new attitude, the pair suit up to head to upstate New York. After finding the Paladin’s trying to break into a decommissioned SHIELD facility, Tony and Cap decide to sneak in through a side entrance. After encountering and taking down Veronica, the duo are too late to start the rise of an even bigger threat.
The Story: One of the best elements of this series is the banter between Steve and Tony. The fact that they still debate the events of Civil War is both amusing and entertaining. Having both of these characters as the focus of the story is a great move and how both of their recent arcs play into the bigger plot is well done.
The Art: Unzueta delivers some great art throughout the issue. There are some great action moments to be found, but the characters are visually stunning.
