The Rundown: Steve learns the location of the Asmoday’s attack and his past continues to inform his present.
In the present, Steve Rogers and Sharon seek out Misty Knight as the peace rally continues to move forward. After identifying what demon is after Steve with help from Strange, the trio do their best to protect the people at the rally. Unfortunately, Asmoday has other plans and his Emissary prepares for a fight to the death with Captain America.
In the past, the Nazi rally is beginning and Steve discovers the bomb Strucker and Zemo plan to use to bring America to their side. Steve gets some unexpected help and goes to seek out an unlikely ally as violence breaks out in the streets.
The Story: Straczynski delivers more action and suspense in this issue through Steve’s past actions. I also really enjoyed how that suspense and brought out in a different way in the present as Steve tries to confront the demon and save the rally. I continue to enjoy this arc a lot and how it showcases the power and personality of the character.
The Art: Medina delivers some fantastic art in the issue. The imagery is beautifully detailed and fun to look at.
