The Rundown: Steve is attacked by a powerful demon with a connection to his past.

In the past, Steve Rogers agrees to spy on the American Nazis as some familiar faces step in to enact a dangerous and devastating plan. What no one knows is that one of them men they’ve employed has a connection to Asmoday who wants to enact a plan to cause worldwide destruction.

In the present, Captain America faces off against The Emissary and quickly determines the man is being controlled by a demon. In the aftermath of their battle, Steve begins to connect the dots and how they relate to an event from his past that might be coming to fruition again.

The Story: A fun, thrilling and suspense-filled adventure that brilliantly connects with the reader as it navigates and connects the character’s past and present. There is some great action in the issue and I love seeing Steve strategize during the attack. I really enjoy this arc for the character and cannot wait to see how the events being laid out come together for him.

The Art: Medina delivers beautifully detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue. I love the visual contrasts between the past and present and how they evoke different emotions.
