The Rundown: Cap and his team are taking on Selene, but this isn’t Steve’s fight, it’s Sharon’s.
Sharon swoops in using the Iron Patriot armor to help turn the tide of the battle against Selene. With Steve and the men on the ropes, it will take Sharon and Shuri to help clear them from the field before Sharon goes after her real target.
After removing Selene from the area, Sharon goes to work fighting the villain. A fight that will take more than brawn and tech to win. A fight that will take everything Sharon has learned. A fight that will have a shocking ending that could change everything for Steve and Sharon.
The Story: A great conclusion to the current storyline. Coates has some great dialogue and introspection for Sharon and I like the fact that this issue focused on her exclusively. The story has a more personal feel and the reader identifies with Sharon, her struggle and her resolve. The action was fast paced, but it never lost focus on character and emotion. I was impressed with how the story was resolved and I look forward to seeing how the twist at the end plays out.
The Art: Bob Quinn does some great work with the art in the issue. The story and its pace are geared towards action and Quinn’s art provides that in both the style of the art and the fast pacing of the panels.
