The Rundown: Cap fights for his life as Sharon fights for the truth.
Sharon and her team confront General Ross about how he faked his death and why. They learn that the Power Elite has had their hands in the affairs of the government for a long time and their reach goes all the way to the top. When their communications break up, Agatha returns to the base and she brings along some help. Help that not only owes much to Sharon Carter, but who also prompts Sharon to get off the sidelines and back in the fight.
At the same time, Cap, Bucky and Falcon fight for their lives against demons and the possessed men of Adamsville. As they try not to hurt anyone too badly, Selene presses her attack. An attack that might be the end of the trio starting with Steve.
The Story: This story is filled with action and heart. Coates does an amazing job of showcasing the strength and resolve of these characters, especially Steve and Sharon. There are great character moments throughout and the message at the heart of this issue is uplifting and timely. I was really impressed with the tone and pace of this issue and how it brings all of the story points together to move them and the characters forward. I look forward to seeing how this story progresses and the cliffhanger ending promises something big to come.
The Art: Bob Quinn delivers some awesome action scenes in this issue. There are great visual moments throughout and the fight with Selene is the highlight. Both sides of the story are filled with great details and the art enhances the story brilliantly.
