The Rundown: A young boy discovers a secret from his dead father and the key to a new world.

In a yard in the middle of the woods a war continues to rage between two factions. Unfortunately, their battle is interrupted by something even bigger. That something happens to be the Slaymaker family moving back into the home where their late patriarch died. A home with dark memories for the older brother Syd who decides to take out his frustration on any bug he can find.

The youngest child Slade has embraced his late father’s love of bugs and when his brother comes looking to kill Slade’s bug collection, both the bug and Slade go on the run to their father’s lab where Slade finds something in the walls that brings him face to face with a new and dangerous world beneath his feet.

The Story: Aaron creates an interesting and entertaining story in this first issue. It’s like Honey I Shrunk the Kids meets Mad Max and I really loved the opening sequence and how it weaves this new world into the story. There is some brutal action throughout the story and a buildup of tension that immediately drew me into the story. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Asrar delivers beautifully detailed and insanely brutal art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and the visual style of the issue.
