The Rundown: Mark learns the truth about his legacy as evil awakens on the island.
Mark faces the creature he unleashed in the church basement and discovers that the thing can communicate. He tells him a story about the island. A story that reveals its dark and murderous past as well as how it connects to the legacy of his family.
As Mark learns the truth about his family and the island named after them, the evil the creature warned him about returns and begins to murder everyone that it can find.
The Story: Niles expands the world of Turner Island and gives the reader insight into the lore and history that permeate the land. The story is incredibly engaging and continues to hook me with every reveal. I really enjoyed the back story and how it reveals the truth of the island and its curse. The story also has some great moments of suspense and terror that make me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Worm delivers some great art in the issue. The horror elements are beautifully done and the visual style is compelling.
