The Rundown: Betty and Barney Hill will find their trip home interrupted by a strange event.
Betty and Barney Hill are on their way home from vacation and dealing with the dark reality of the times they live in. On their way home, Betty discovers something strange in the sky. Something that will prompt them to stop and investigate.
When they are unable to determine what the object is, they get back on the road. When they discover that the object is following them, Barney gets out to see more and what he discovers frightens him.
The Story: James Tynion IV presents an interesting first issue here. The story is entertaining and familiar to many who have read about this case before. It’s an enjoyable story with some good subtle moments in it and I am curious about what direction Tynion IV is taking with the narrative. There’s some interesting and suspenseful moments in the plot and I am intrigued about what happens next despite knowing the story itself.
The Art: Michael Avon Oeming delivers some great art in the issue. There are some great visual moments that are compelling and I enjoy the style of the issue.
