The Rundown: Bloodshot’s violent escape won’t last long as the forces coming from him are relentless in their quest to bring him down.
Bloodshot is on the run and the advanced weapons they used to hurt him are slowing down his escape. Fighting to hold himself together, he finds temporary place to hide, but temporary is the right word for it.
General Grayle and his forces are moving in and they are giving Bloodshot no time to rest of heal as their relentless attacks keep him on the move. Cornered and injured, the warrior thinks he has the upper hand, but Grayle is hiding a secret that could finally bring down the unstoppable weapon.
The Story: Tim Seeley drops the reader into the action and doesn’t stop as the story moves with a frenetic energy and pace that keeps the reader engaged in the story and the character. Bloodshot’s power set is on full display and the story showcases not only how powerful he is, but how resilient and relentless he can be in service of his own survival. Grayle is a compelling character as well and their conflict is unique and engaging in itself. The final moment in the issue hits hard and makes me yearn to see what comes next.
The Art: Brett Booth’s art is beautifully detailed and filled with awesome, brutal and breathtaking visuals. I love the look of this issue and how the amazing action leaps off the page.
