The Rundown: Atticus goes after his most dangerous sip yet while things get dangerous for the Council.

There’s been an attack on the most powerful member of the Council. An attack that ends Stoker’s son Dracula and puts a bigger target on the doctor’s back. With an open attack on the Council, Stoker wants more pressure applied to Sloane and Mr. Tooth is happy to oblige violently.
After Sloane convinces Tooth not to kill him, he goes after his most high profile and dangerous Sip, a movie star preparing for his premiere while hiding some dangerous and dark secrets. Atticus’ mission proves to be too dangerous for him alone and his unexpected help leaves him more hurt than he was before. At the same time, the doctor brings in a new patient and reveals what she’s been doing with the vampires she’s attacked.
The Story: Ward delivers some dark and intriguing moments throughout this issue. The side story with the doctor continues to be compelling and engaging as it opens up some interesting narrative threads that I want to explore. Atticus’ story is also interesting and entertaining as he takes on a movie star and the animosity between himself and Tooth continues to be intriguing as well.
The Art: Reynolds has a wonderful visual style and that comes through on every page. I love the look of this issue and how characters both blend in and stand out at certain points.
