The Rundown: Blade reveals what he truly is and what he wants as the heroes look for dangerous allies.
After transporting an ancient Atlantean temple to the center of New York, Blade and his Bloodcoven emerge to complete a ritual that will reveal what is truly inside the Daywalker. An entity both Black Panther and Doom suspected to be behind the attack on the world. At the same time, Strange and Clea go to Doom for help, but Doom’s price is the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme.
Tigra and Hunter’s Moon travel to Asgard to free someone that could turn the tide of the battle while T’Challa makes his play to free his friends and take down the vampire menace once and for all as another army invades led by a familiar face.
The Story: MacKay crafts a dark and entertaining story in this issue. The story culminates in some great moments for the characters along with some thrilling and suspenseful moments as well. The Doom/Strange moments are beautifully tense and I am excited to see what the result of that interaction will be, especially with the students of the Academy in Latveria. I enjoyed the buildup of suspense throughout the story and it has some great surprises that make me excited for the conclusion.
The Art: Larraz crafts some beautiful art in this issue. The visuals are dynamic and perfectly capture the dark nature of the story and its characters.
