The Rundown: Blade is called to help a town under siege by a horde of monsters.
Blade travels to the Pacific Northwest when he receives a desperate call from Bruce Banner regarding a small town being overrun by monsters. After dispatching several creatures and facing down Hulk, Banner emerges to tell him what’s happening in the town.
After linking the monster attacks to a local boy, Blade agrees to find him and help, but it might not lead to a happy ending. After finding the creature responsible for the attacks, Blade makes a dark deal with the creature that might bring him closer to finding the Adana.
The Story: Hill crafts an entertaining and suspenseful story in this issue. The tone is perfect for both characters and the tension between Blade and Banner is great. I really enjoyed the horror elements of the story and how they connect with both characters’ current story arcs. I also really enjoy Blade’s attitude in this issue and how it has evolved and changed since his training with Dracula.
The Art: Pinti delivers some great art in the issue. The horror elements look great and raise the tension and suspense of the story.
