The Rundown: Clint is on the brink and an old enemy wants him and Black Widow dead.
Clint Barton is in Madripoor working on a case, but his confession has put him in the crosshairs of assassins who want to make him pay. Black Widow and her symbiote have managed to keep him alive temporarily, but Natasha wants answers.
When Clint is hit with a poison dart that will kill him in minutes, Widow must take down the assassin and use her symbiote to keep Hawkeye alive. An act that will bring her back to some of her earliest memories of Clint Barton.
The Story: Phillips crafts an engaging and thrilling story in this issue. The dynamic between Clint and Natasha continues to be engaging. I really like the story a lot and how the mystery isn’t about if Clint is guilty, but why he did what he did. I continue to enjoy the dynamic Natasha has with her symbiote as well and the looks back to their past adventures together is a great treat.
The Art: Villanelli delivers some fantastic art in the issue. There is some great action in the issue and the character designs look fantastic.
