The Rundown: Natasha has a final confrontation with the Living Blade and could lose everything in the process.
Giving her friends time to escape and shut down a criminal organization, Natasha faces off against the Living Blade again. A confrontation that will end swiftly, but at a great cost to the Black Widow. At the same time, her friends have escaped their cages and are taking on a band of hired soldiers as Clint tries to keep Nat alive long enough to escape.
Bucky goes after the group’s leader and gets some unexpected help. Yelena faces off against the Living Blade as well as Nat discovers who the assassin was looking for and what he can do. A gift that will put Nat back in the fight as the scope of the organization’s plans are revealed.
The Story: Thompson brings this arc to a brilliant and satisfying conclusion with a story filled with action, thrills and tension. The character development of Natasha is compelling and her journey in this story has some great moments that make you feel for the character. The found family elements of the story work beautifully and have the perfect mixture of humor and heart between moments of blistering action.
The Art: Casagrande and Pimentel deliver some amazing art in this issue. The action is top notch and filled with visual thrills and excitement. There is an awesome splash page in the book that showcases how great a character Natasha is and the moment is perfectly executed.
