Deron GenerallyWarner Brothers has announced a release date for the upcoming DC Comics Birds of Prey film which will have Margot Robbie reprise her role as Harley Quinn.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Birds of Prey will be directed by Cathy Yan and is set to premiere in theaters and IMAX February 7, 2020.
There is very little revealed regarding the plot, but several actresses have read for parts in the film including Gugu Mbatha-Raw (A Wrinkle in Time) and Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures) reading for Black Canary and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane) testing for the role of Huntress along with Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers). There is speculation that the plot will focus on Harley Quinn teaming up with Huntress and Detective Renee Montoya to take on Gotham City mob boss Black Mask.
