The Rundown: The Birds face off against the Amazons and Wonder Woman.
The Birds have managed to liberate Sin, but getting off the island becomes more difficult when Wonder Woman arrives to stop them. Barda and Orphan attempt to hold her off until Dinah can get Sin to safety, but things take a dark turn when Diana manages to end the fight while also learning the truth.
When Diana speaks to Phillipus about the mission Canary and the others are on, they find a common name. A name that will prompt them to investigate and discover an evil that has taken root on the island and could begin to spread.
The Story: Thompson crafts a thrilling, engaging adventure in this issue. There is plenty of action and humor to be had and the story has some fantastic moments for each character. I continue to love how these characters interact with each other and the dialogue continues to draw me in with every issue. I’m excited to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Romero’s visual style continues to create fantastic visual moments in both action and character. I love the imagery in this issue and how it engages the reader.
