The Rundown: Sam discovers the identity of the second killer in town and that discovery could cost her everything.
Woodbrook is turning into a veritable ghost town as the local murders have spooked everyone. Sam finds her safe haven continuing to get unwanted attention and she decides to visit a friend and confront her son knowing exactly who he is.
After confronting Nigel about the murders he’s committed in the town, Nigel reveals that he also knows everything about Sam and her extracurricular activities. As her paranoia continues to grow, she is confronted the next day by her new nemesis who has raised the stakes of their dangerous game.
The Story: A dark, intense and entertaining story that brilliantly raises the tension throughout the issue. I love the reveal of the killer and how Sam finds herself in a bigger jam because of her own actions. The story is turning from a dark mystery to a battle of wills that I enjoy seeing unfold.
The Art: Horvath delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the story. I love the visual style of this series and how it showcases the lighter tone of the environment because the violence is more visually jarring.
