The Rundown: A small town sheriff on the border finds herself in the middle of a monster attack.

A group of illegal immigrants cross the border and find themselves surrounded by local militia. Unfortunately, all of them find themselves attacked by something under the ground and only a little girl is left alive. When Sheriff Delgado arrives on the scene the next day, she and one of the local preachers whose brother is one of the missing find a bloodbath.

Taking the surviving girl to a local holding center for captured migrants, Delgado and everyone there will discover that there is something under the ground hunting for them all and death is not the end.

The Story: DeKnight delivers a fantastic horror adventure in this issue. It is filled with great tension and thrills. Both its pacing and tone are reminiscent of great horror movies like The Thing or Tremors and the characters are interesting enough that I feel this graphic novel could translate beautifully to the screen if done right. An intense, thrilling and entertaining horror ride.

The Art: Gaydos delivers beautifully detailed and visually evocative art throughout the story. Some fantastic and brutal art on every page and panel.
