The Rundown: The survivors discover that even after being swallowed by the creature, there is still danger all around them.

After their bus is swallowed by a giant kaiju creature, Sara and the other survivors find themselves inside the beast surrounded by a river of acid and no obvious means of escape. Sara’s friend Manny is severely hurt and Jack decides that they can’t wait for help. Climbing onto the roof of the bus, he, Sara and the driver discover that there is an ambulance there with them that might have what they need to help Manny.

After a dangerous journey to find supplies, Jack gets a strange signal from a radio they discover right before they are attacked by creatures that live within the behemoth. Sara and the driver return to the others and find that they’ve lost another one. With more creatures converging on the bus, Sara and the others start moving along the other wreckage with the creatures on their tail and time running out.

The Story: Sputore and Engle craft an action-filled, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. There is an immediacy to everything in the story from the external threats to the hidden unknown dangers the characters face. I like the pacing of the story and how its action and horror beats feel natural and often surprising. I find myself invested in the characters and look forward to seeing what happens to them next.

The Art: Martin crafts some beautifully detailed and engaging art in the issue. I really love the creature designs in this issue a lot.
