The Rundown: An injured Dark Knight turns to an unusual tactic to take down a magical enemy.
After surviving a gauntlet of his mind controlled family members, Batman must find a way to stop the Devil Nezha and Mother Soul with his own son hunting him. What none of them realizes is that there is a third party watching the action. A third party who has his own plans for Nezha.
After a harrowing fight with Damian, Batman is put in a position to do something unexpected with the object holding all of the magic stolen from its users. When Nezha finds himself facing a powerful enemy, Batman seizes the opportunity to possibly end the fight once and for all.
The Story: An exciting, entertaining conclusion to this arc. Both parts of the story come together extremely well and both Batman and Robin have satisfying character arcs and resolutions throughout this issue. I loved the interaction between the two and the surprises within it, especially the moment of realization from Damian. I look forward to seeing what happens when the series returns.
The Art: Asrar delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals craft a dark and engaging environment for the characters and I loved the action.
