The Rundown: Batman and Joker’s team up comes to an explosive and dangerous conclusion.
Amanda Simms and her army of undead Jokers are closing in as Batman battles Joker for Gordon’s life. He’s also battling for the key Amanda gave Joker and what that key will open. With Amanda’s forces moving in and no possibility of escape, Batman employs his last gambit and blows the tunnels they are trapped in.
With water rushing in, Batman faces Amanda one more time and is forced to let Joker escape with the means of unlocking something that could destroy Batman and everyone he cares about.
The Story: Silvestri brings this story to an explosive and entertaining conclusion. The story has some great character moments, action and surprises. There is a unique narrative style to this story and I was immersed in the world of it and the characters within it. There is some great tension in the story and the Joker interactions were great. I really like the villain of the story and look forward to seeing more of her.
The Art: Silvestri brilliantly blends the unique story with beautifully detailed visuals that perfectly capture the tone of the story and enhance its action.
