The Rundown: Batman finds himself with an unlikely partner while investigating a dangerous killer.
Someone has targeted someone close to Joker and she is definitely not a shrinking violet. At the same time, Batman finds himself investigating a brutal murder that has all the trademarks of Joker, but none of the style. When a call comes that a similar crime is in progress, Batman races to the scene to discover something completely unexpected.
After a dangerous fight with a familiar looking creature, Batman is called to the GCPD where he is met by Joker who has a proposition for him. One that could save the life of someone close to Batman and also reveal a dangerous group of creatures who seem to have adopted the look of the clown prince of crime.
The Story: Dark, disturbing and highly engaging, Silvestri brings the reader into the darkness of the city and unleashes a story that has some truly scary moments within it. There is a dark energy that permeates the story and kept me invested in every moment. The plot has a great build up of action and terror as well as a mystery that has me invested.
The Art: Silvestri dazzles with art that brilliantly engulfs the reader into the dark world of Gotham. The characters look amazing and the art is beautifully detailed throughout.
