DC Comics

The Rundown: Bruce’s sessions with Leslie continue and his investigation into the imposter hits a personal snag.
Leslie continues to worry if her allowing Bruce to continue being Batman is a failure on her part. A thought that brings her back to one of her earliest sessions with him as a young boy just after the death of his parents. She sees how smart he is, but also how troubled and dangerous he can be to himself and others. Back in the present, he finally shows up for their dawn session and she proceeds to patch up his wounds as they talk about his investigation into the imposter. An investigation that will require access to the Wesker company surveillance servers.
After discovering something disturbing about Wesker’s son, Batman dismisses his findings when pressed about them by Leslie. Things become more complicated for both Bruce and Batman when Bruce’s scheme to get to close to Wong and use her for information takes an unexpected turn. Spending time with the woman allows him to show a different side of himself and their similar connections to tragedy will complicate Bruce’s mission as he has to go against her when he finds a connection to the imposter.
The Story: Tomlin complicates Bruce’s mission in an interesting way in this issue. The story takes some interesting twists throughout starting with the Alfred moment and continuing throughout the story. I love the unpredictable nature of it and how Leslie’s presence becomes more important to Bruce in different ways. The plot is unique and engaging. I cannot wait to see where it goes next.
The Art: Sorrentino delivers some beautiful art in this issue. The characters are dynamic and the style is visually stunning.
