The Rundown: Batman and Superman fight to trap the Devil Nezha, but it will take a sacrifice to hold him.

The Devil Nezha is down but not out. Supergirl reveals the one way to trap him and it will take a sacrifice. One that she decides to make after losing Robin in the time stream. Unfortunately, the heroes don’t have time to mourn as the creature begins to wake up. After taking control of both Rita and Superman, Nezha goes on the offensive.

In the midst of their fight, Supergirl and Batman will have a revelation about the creature and his powers. A revelation that will give them the time they need to trap him thanks to Cliff’s quick thinking. Superman decides to do something desperate to save the day. Something that will require all the heroes working together to save the Man of Steel.

The Story: Waid delivers some great action and thrills throughout this issue. There is a great parallel between the external threat the heroes are facing and the internal conflict Kara is dealing with and both are handled extremely well. I love seeing Doom Patrol in this issue and how they work with the other heroes. The story has some great tension throughout and I really enjoyed how it is resolved as well as the tease for what’s to come.

The Art: Dan Mora delivers some beautifully detailed art on every page of this issue. The action is thrilling and the character designs are beautifully done.
