The Rundown: Batman and Superman team with their fifth dimensional rivals to take on a bigger threat.
Bat-Mite and Mxyzptlk find themselves in Gotham City in the cave with Batman, Robin and Superman. After explaining to them what they are running from and showing them the body of one of their compatriots, a series of alerts from members of the League forces them to split up and discover that their friends are being attacked by villains with imp upgrades.
After taking on their overpowered foes, Batman and Superman take different imps with them on their missions to free their friends. A move that will give the imps a different impression of the heroes they find themselves connected to as a bigger threat prepares to make its next move.
The Story: Waid crafts a fun, thrilling adventure in this issue. Filled with great action, humor and an intriguing story that takes the characters to some new interesting places. I continue to love the incorporation of the League into the story as well as the dynamic of having Robin in the plot. The arc is off to a fantastic start that hooked me and makes me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Mora delivers fantastic art in the issue. I love the detailed character designs as well as the visually thrilling and immersive action.
